3 Things I Do When I Want to Give Up

I want to give up

Someone just asked me a very powerful question:

“Lloyd, how do you personally keep showing up in your purpose when things aren’t going well?”

This is an important question because the desire to give up and hide is something that still pops up for me. It’s not always easy living your purpose, especially when you feel like the Universe isn’t supporting you.

These are the 3 things I do to keep going even when I want to give up:

1.  I get support.

We you’re in the thick of lack of clarity and fear, it’s important to have someone reflect you back to yourself. When I’m stuck, I can’t see why I’m stuck because I’m so blinded by my stuckness. I need someone on the outside to look at my situation and guide me back to my truth.

Just last week in a joint business I have with my best friend, we realized that we were stuck. The business felt heavy, and it wasn’t making any money to support itself.

We finally decided that it was time to get support. The minute we invested in support, there was a jolt of energy in our business. (This was even before we started receiving the support. Just by investing in support, our business jump started.)

2.  I do healing work and continue moving forward

Most people believe that you have to stop everything you’re doing to be able to concentrate on healing your blocks. I discovered that I can do healing work and still take inspired action forward.

It's like a mother whose son is afraid to drive over bridges. She can choose to avoid all bridges while her son deals with his fear or she can support him with his fear AND drive across bridges to get where they need to go.

She could tell him, “Hey son, I know you’re afraid of bridges. Today, we’re going to drive across one. You can scream and shout all you want, and I’m going to be here with you to support you. I'll check in with you every single step of the way. I know you’re scared, and it’s ok. BUT, we’re driving over the bridge today, AND I’m going to support you the entire way.”

You can support the parts of you that are stuck and afraid of standing in the fullness of your purpose AND take inspired action steps forward in any direction you see fit.

3.  I visualize what’s on the other side of my stuckness

One of the main reasons people experience pain while they’re struggling to figure out their purpose is because they can’t see past their struggle.

The peace of the other side of your struggle always exists even if you can’t see it.

It’s important to visualize what the other side of your struggle looks like. This hope and faith that things will begin to fall into place for you will ease the pain of any stuckness that you experience.

This doesn't mean bypassing the pain. It means deeply and fully experiencing your struggle AND holding space for the other side of the struggle that's waiting for you.

My reason for telling you those 3 steps is because I want to support you in getting clarity about your purpose and your Soul’s Calling.

I want to support you in moving through the struggle of feeling unfulfilled in your work or experiencing the confusion around why your purpose and passion isn’t providing you the abundant life you crave.

I know how important it is to have someone on the outside support you in moving through your struggle with grace and ease. I want to be that person who supports you.

I’m taking on 10 free sessions over the next two weeks. In the free sessions, we will focus on the following:

  • finding clarity
  • discovering blocks, wounds, or patterns that keep you stuck
  • taking inspired action to implement your clarity
  • allowing your Soul’s Calling to make the world a better place
  • allowing your Soul’s Calling to make your reality more prosperous, light, and free

Out of these 10 free sessions, I will invite about 3 people to continue working with me on a deeper level.

If it’s time for you to get some support, I invite you to fill out this application: Apply for a free session with Lloyd
